Welcome to the website of EuroResidue conferences!
New date Euroresidue IX: 10-12 May 2021!
Statement regarding the outbreak of novel coronavirus (2019-nCoV / COVID-2019) and the continuity of EuroResidue IX in May, 2020
(First version February 27th; revision March 17th, 2020)
Dear ERIX conference participant,
It will not have escaped your attention that a worldwide crisis is affecting all aspects of human life and businesses. (Supra)national and regional measures has limited people to meet each other. We have been looking closely to the unrolling of events in China and other countries, and we consulted physicians, virologists, epidemiologists and other specialists. It became clear to us that with great certainty this international crisis will not have passed by mid-May. So:
In the light of the unpredictable events, the board of the EuroResidue Conferences Foundation has decided to postpone the ERIX event that was planned to start May 18th, 2020.
We had many reasons for making this decision. Not in the last place for the reason that we want to keep you safe while you are also traveling to Egmond aan Zee. Furthermore, it is expected that restrictions to meet and travel enforced by (supra)national or regional authorities will continue even as long as in May. We felt urgency not to wait longer and to make an intelligible and lucid decision that respects and safeguards our colleagues. Better safe than sorry.
We hope you understand our decision. If not, we are happy to explain it in more detail.
The EuroResidue IX Conference is now planned for 10-12 May 2021.
We hope genuinelly that you will attend the meeting at the same venue in 2021. We keep your reservation intact. Costs and prices will not go up for the postponed event. If you do not agree with this continuation of your registration, please contact us by replying this message. Otherwise, we will confirm your reservation for the event in 2021 on the short term.
Stay in good health.
On behalf of the organisers, we hope sincerely to meet you in Egmond aan Zee by 10-12 May 2021.
Aldert Bergwerff, Saskia Sterk and Bruno LeBizec
